My throat hurts a lot. I think it might be because I have to talk so much now compared to before. I really hope I won't get sick or lose my voice. Thank god it's sunday today and I don't have to talk to anyone. I'm just gonna drink a lot of tea with honey and eat tons of cough drops. If you know anything else that could help let me know!
Friday nite we finally went to see the imaginarium of doctor parnassus. I wanted to see it ever since it came out but it was always either sold out or we didn't have time.
I liked it a lot. My boyfriend didn't. I thought it was really neat how they involved Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell after Heath Ledger died. And Lily Cole (who I absolutely adore anyway) was so cute and compared to other models turned actress she did a great job.
A few weeks ago I decided that I want to try to get into fashion design school. I have to take an entrance exam and show them a portfolio. I went to their info day and the drawings and projects they showed were cool but I definitely think I should be able to pass the exam if I compare my work to the work of past and current students there. The exam is in march so I still have time to put together a portfolio.
I'm not quite sure what to put in there. Drawings, of course and a few photos of sewing projects but I'm not sure if I should mention my blog or etsy shop too. And if yes, how I would do that. Just a screenshot of both or...
What do you guys think?
I've been thinking about what to get with my first paycheck for a while and made a little wishlist ;)

I think it!!! January is really long!! Thanks god it´s at end!! For the school.. sure you have to put the photos and projects of your handmades. Maybe draws of your future projects...
Maybe you can mentions both, your blog as a place where you write and compare your ideas with other girls, and your shop as your personal line.

I agree, January is taking forever! I think that you should defiantly mention your Etsy shop, I'm sure they'd love to know that your accomplished!! I Agree with Claire.. That hoodie dress looks amazing! So comfy.
Definitely include your blog and etsy shop, it shows that you're creative and that people like what you do.
I bet you're already way ahead of most students there.

Übrigens hab ich mal einen Arzt sagen hören, dass man bei Halsschmerzen möglichst keine sußen Bonbons lutschen soll, weil sich die Bakterien durch den Zuckern noch schneller vermehren. Genauso wenig soll man den Hals die ganze Zeit einpacken (= Bakterien vermehren sich ebenfalls durch Wärme). Ich weiß nicht, ob das zu 100% stimmt, aber als ich das letzte Mal Probleme mit einem kratzenden Hals hatte, haben mir die Tipps geholfen ^.^
Ich bin auch dafür, dass du deinen Etsy Shop erwähnst! In welcher Form wüsste ich allerdings auch nicht.
Ich finde auch Januar zieht sich total lang hin...

ich habe das hoodie dress :) in deinem fall würde ich wohl vor allem mehr copics kaufen, es ist einfach zu toll, was man damit anstellen kann... und wenn du gerade am mappe machen bist, sind die dir sicher hilfreich!
darf man fragen, wo du dich bewirbst? ich habe auch mal eine mappe gemacht, aber wurde beim ersten versuch nicht genommen... dann ist sie in der ecke gelandet ;)
True, January is the worst month of all, I hate it. Long and boring, after the Christmas break... But Valentine's Day comes early, and certainly you have any cool plans with your boyfriend, eh? ;)

Das AA hoodie dress hab ich schon in ein paar Farben aber jetzt muss navy noch dazu kommen. Sie sind einfach so bequem und schön warm.

Well good luck with getting into fashion design school! sounds really good! I don't know if you should show them the blog, heard a few times already that people showed around websites or blogs when applying somewhere and they not always liked it, and if you anyway have to show a portfolio, they see your work there! oh and definitely get the copic markers! especially when you have to put the portfolio together ;)
I think you should tell them about your blog, it can be a real plus! They like personality, perhaps you can print some nice posts and put them in a nice map. Layout is important for fashion schools, it is something you also can express yourself, you could use your flower background from your blog and make it the background from your portfolio or make it really clean, but it should have a line in it! i think it is great that you try it again (is it another school?) I am pretty sure you will get through this easily! If you have any questions you can ask me, i've been trough this...

i just notice your are applying for fashion school. take as much drawings, photos, even clothes you have customized along and print out screen shots of your blog. i am in my second year just now and they like people who are involved in the class and who do things for fashion outside the classroom. also dont compare yourself to other peoples work im sure you have your own unique creative flare. good luck sweetheart xo xo xo
